What was the inspiration for your wedding style?
Old Hollywood Glamour

How did you approach the planning of your wedding?
I had a very clear sense of the style of the wedding, it was one of my top priorities in the planning process. I wanted it to reflect our personalities and for our guests to feel we had created it. The problem I ran into was transferring the picture in my mind to paper and initially this really halted the planning process. That’s when I decided to enlist White + White Wedding Planning. It was the best decision we made in the entire process. Big-ticket items such as the location and photographer no longer plagued my dreams (or nightmares!) and everything started to become a reality. It sounds corny but I cried when I saw the layout & styling plans created by Hannah @ W+W and Decorative Events, it was everything I had imagined and more.

What was your favourite styling element from the ceremony and reception?
For the ceremony, it was the black ghost chairs. They were beautiful, so glamorous and worked perfectly with the floral backdrop.
The reception was where my vision really came to life and we pulled out all the stops. Everything from the peacock, mirrored tables, black chandeliers, hanging fairy lights and cosy lounge areas – it’s a really tough decision to choose between them! If I had to choose one thing it would be our circular art deco bar. It complimented everything perfectly and provided the perfect focal point for our beautiful ombre flower bomb!

What advice would you give for couples planning their wedding?
The options for weddings are so vast that it’s really important to set a clear vision up front to help shape and guide the planning process. Anything too broad will make decisions feel really overwhelming.
It can be easy to get swept up in the emotion around the day and this can impact on the choices you make, so remember to listen to the professionals and consider their guidance wisely. In the end, this is their full time job and they know a trick or two which might not be obvious at first.
