Wedding Date: 21st February 2016

Number of Guests: 125

Wedding Ceremony Location: The Marquee at the “Pier One Sydney Harbour Hotel”

Wedding Reception Location: Water @ Pier One “Pier One Sydney Harbour Hotel”

What was the inspiration for your wedding style?
We wanted our day to incorporate my late mother, to be unique, classy, different, yet incorporate both our cultures being ¼ Lebanese, ¼ Austrian, ¼ Scottish and ¼ Australian into our entire day. This is the reason why the Groom and Groomsmen were all wearing traditional Scottish kilts.
Ceremony: Dad and I were lead into the Marquee by a bag piper who then led Adam and I out of the ceremony as well once we were married.

Canapés and drinks on pier – We had a duo fire show for guests to enjoy.

Reception: Adam and I walked in with the Lebanese drummers. The room was created to feel like a classy Black Tie event incorporating Whites, gold  and greenery being the Bonbonniere plants which each person received ( Star Jasmine and Lavender ) being my late mothers favourite plants. This was a different element as we then did not then require flowers on the guest’s tables. We wanted the gifts to be a memorable one that they could keep at home or plant outside rather than leave behind or even throw away. Not one plant was left so it was a good outcome.  The Fireworks that got lit off outside whilst Adam and I did our dance with the dry ice was a WOW factor.
I had a gold cart at the entry to reception which had photos of our parents on their wedding day, along with the “Thank You” card box which you provided, with handmade Belgium chocolate topped with 24carat gold leaf on top for each guest to take as they walked in. The cart was then beautifully designed with flowers by Jeffrey which matched the theme of the gorgeous Urns he created at the ceremony.
I wanted our ceremony and reception to be in one location which our guests loved and many were staying at the hotel which was a great bonus.

How did you approach the planning of your wedding?
I was very organised, knew the theme I wanted, kept in constant contact with my suppliers and had a spreadsheet which was so helpful.

What was your favourite styling element from the ceremony and reception?
Ceremony – the gold Tiffany chairs , 10 m white runner, and the stunning Urns that Jeffrey at DE&E created
Reception – the stunning white draping from the roof, tiffany gold chairs to then go with the 6 arm gold candelabra on each guest table, the rose gold sequin table cloth on bridal table , bride and groom we different chairs which was a nice touch. Everything you put together was just amazing. My cake was amazing and again I wanted it different so went for the Naked cake option with Lemon and fresh Raspberries.
Cocktail area on pier – wanted the cocktail table cloths outside to match bridal table cloth with white tassels and lanterns along with Tiffany Stools .
